Introducing Brian Duffin

M* is proud to announce a new permablogger: Brian Duffin.

Read on for more about Brian.

Here’s how he describes himself:

First and foremost, I am a husband to my beautiful wife and a father to my three-year old son and three-month-old daughter.

My educational background is in journalism and I am a graduate of ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. Given the meager salary of a journalist and the need to support a family, I chose to seek a career outside of journalism.

Professionally I have worked as a radio DJ, project manager, supply chain analyst, materials manager and capital accountant. I still have not decided what I want to be when I grow up, so I am looking at attending graduate school next fall.

Two weekends a month I volunteer with a local law-enforcement agency as a uniformed volunteer. I get to assist stranded motorists, work closely with officers at traffic accidents and assist with other incidents that do not require a sworn officer. As an added benefit, I get to cite people for handicapped and fire lane violations, and tow vehicles where drivers arrested for DUI/DWI.

I have served as a ward clerk, finance clerk, ward mission leader and currently have my dream calling—nursery worker!

  1. Brian is also renowned in the Bloggernacle for attempting to unmask the original Bloggernacle Snarker, and failing miserably, but doing a yeoman’s job of it nonetheless.

    All hail the Duffin!
