I thought this was pretty good. It’s about a 10-minute video that includes Donny Osmond’s testimony and some pretty good explanations of what the BoM is about. Check it out. (This link will probably work best with a broadband connection).

Interesting. I never had heard the “Everlasting Hills” = “Rocky Mountains” idea before this.
I notice that he has a whole set of these presentations:

and quite a large site where he has posted many of his responses to questions about the Church:

Who would have known?
Take a gander at Donny’s answers to the Q & A section. I wonder if we could make him a permablogger at M*?

LeGrand Richards often made the “Everlasting Hills” = “Rocky Mountains” link. He often said that some people thought that everlasting hills in the scriptures referred to the area around Jerusalem. But then contrasting that region to the Rocky Mountains surrounding the Wasatch Front, Richards would say something like, “They don’t have everlasting hills over there. These are the everlasting hills the prophet saw in vision.” I personally heard Elder Richards say something in this vein on more than one occasion.
Besides – all the Tabernacle choir “Music and the Spoken Word” always have a phrase like “greetings from within the bounds of the everlasting hills” or some such.
