Saturday afternoon, M*’s webmaster Scott Barber emailed me a link to a Mormon Times article announcing a temple for Gilbert, Arizona.
My first reaction to the news was, “Wow!!”
Even today, I am still stunned and excited that another temple is to be built in Arizona. What excites me even more is that I will likely be in the new temple district. Continue reading
Sunday night my stake hosted a fireside where Brother Mark Mabry and others involved in the “Reflections of Christ” exhibit shared their testimonies of Christ through the spoken word, music, video and pictures.
Sadly, my words can do little to convey the power of the music, video, testimony and spirit present during the fireside. Sufficient to say, many eyes were filled with tears throughout the entire presentation.
I spoke with Cameron Trejo at church today and he mentioned that the Reflections of Christ web site has been updated with some new features.
First of all, the introductory movie on the site contains several of the pictures from the exhibit. Moreover, and probably my favorite feature–the music from the documentary video! I get chills just listening to the music.
Monday night I told my wife I would take her and the kids out to dinner for her birthday. Nothing special, mind you. Probably just Fuddruckers or somewhere with a play place for the kids.
At 8:30 p.m., my wife announced that she was tired and going to bed early. I was left to fend for myself.
