(Sung to the tune of “Almost Cut My Hair” by CSNY)
Almost shaved my ‘Tee
Almost shaved my ‘tee
It happened just the other day
It’s getting kinda scratchy
I coulda said I wanted to be in the bishopric right away
But I didn’t and I wonder why
The bishop was coming over with a look in his eye
A big calling was coming for someone
Must be because I’d been on the High Council since Christmas
And leaving my family has been really tough
It increases my paranoia
Like looking at my home teaching list and seeing I haven’t done enough
But I’m not giving in an inch to fear
I’ll do better next year
A big calling is coming for someone
When I finally get that position
I’m going to make the calls – I’m on a mission
And I’ll find that razor somewhere
I’ll shave the chin – I’ll leave it bare
A big calling is coming…for someone
Classic! In fact, it reminded me of my own experience (whoo, deja vu).
Larry, at least there’s one other person out there who remembers the ’60s…
Wow……….
Look at the number of comments.
(Oh, btw, wasn’t it David Crosby who said “If you can remember the 60’s, you weren’t there?)
What does this tell us about the age & experience of the hoards of the bloggernacle?
And, shaving a tee instead of cutting hair is a pretty clear indication of to where one’s hair has migrated, no?
Mondo cool, Lol!
Yeah, my tee is definitely compensating for my lack of follicles elsewhere. But my wife loves it!
My facial hair grows incredibly fast. I can have a 5 o’clock shadow at 10am!
I had let my beard grow for nearly two weeks and was about to shave it off when my wife asked me to leave a goatee. It’s thick and full now. I’m going for the ZZ Top look. 🙂
Brian, you will never make the bishopric with the ZZ Top look. Your eternal progress will be stunted.
